Well folks, it seems as if the holidays continue to creep up on us faster every year. There are so many traditions Spearfish has established, and we’ve been able to compile them all in one weekend calling it the Christmas Stroll.
Christmas Shoppers Village
The Christmas Stroll is taking place on December 7th, 2019. Beginning in the morning, The High Plains Western Heritage Center is hosting the Annual Christmas Shopper’s Village once again. Here you are able browse numerous of local craft vendors for that “one of a kind” and local Christmas gift! Make sure to stop by during their Winter hours from December 7th-24th. Hatchery Holidays
Then beginning at 10 a.m. The D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery is hosting the Annual Hatchery Holidays. The historic Booth House will be festively and elegantly dressed during the open-house style tour from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on December 5th – 8th. There will be music from the Booth House emphasizing the role Ruby Booth had on music in the community along with hot beverages and cookies. It is free—all are welcome! The Pond Gift Shop will be open with unique gifts available for purchase.
Santa & His Craft Shop
Santa and His Craft Shop starts at 11 a.m. Saint Nick will be making an appearance at the Matthew’s Opera House crafts will begin at 11 a.m. and Santa will be free for photos from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. This event is FREE and there will candy canes and apple cider for all in attendance.
Sip 'N' Shop
Starting at noon this Saturday Crow Peak Brewing Company will be hosting this year’s Annual Holiday Sip’N’Shop. Continue your holiday shopping with arts and crafts from local artisans while enjoying the unique craft beer Crow Peak Brewing has to offer.
Gingerbread House Decorating
The Spearfish’s Farmers Market is hosting a Gingerbread House Decorating event. This family event will provide everything you need to create lovely memories and will start at noon. Tickets are $24 a house and the tickets can be purchased at the Farmer’s Market or online. You will receive all the tools and supplies you need along with a drink of your choice from the Blue Spruce Coffee truck.
Caroling
There will be downtown carolers from 2-4 p.m. to prepare for the Holidazzle parade. Make sure to listen to these carolers and feel free to sing along!
Holidazzle Parade
To round off the busy and festive day, the Holidazzle Parade will take place in Downtown Spearfish. It will begin at 6 p.m. with lights galore decorating floats in the Christmas spirit. Where your most festive attire, enjoy some hot chocolate and roasted chestnuts at this event.
Chili Feed
Following the Holidazzle Parade, Common Grounds will be hosting a community Chili feed at 7 p.m. all are welcome to attend and celebrate the holidays!
