October 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 24, 25, 26, 31 - Spearfish Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch - Get ready for some fall fun at Spearfish Valley Produce! Bring your friends, family, and a sense of adventure as you navigate through twists and turns in the maze! After you find your way out of the maze be sure to stop by their pumkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin for your Jack-O-Lantern!
October 12- Wicked Words & Brews - Celebrate the season at Spearfish Brewing at 6:00pm with an evening of fall-inspired poetry hosted by award-winning writer Dr. Whitnee Coy. Share your own work, read a favorite spooky or seasonal piece, or just enjoy listening and supporting the community.
October 14- Trivia Night- Halloween Movies - Celebrate spooky season with Halloween Movie Trivia at 6:00pm at Spearfish Brewing! Teams of 1–6 are welcome, and the top team wins a round on the house.
October 18- Halloween Sugar Cookie Decorating Class - Join Sugar Gnome Bakery at the Spearfish Rec & Aquatics Center at 1:00pm for a Halloween Sugar Cookie Decorating Class. Decorate 6 spooky cookies with provided icing and sprinkles, learn decorating tips, and take your creations home. Ages 12+ (kits available for younger bakers). Tickets $58—reserve your spot!
October 19-Halloween Paint & Pour with UPROOTED - Make your way to Spearfish Brewing for a class that leads you through potting a plant with a decorative halloween pot! The spots will be limited and are recommended to reserve ahead of time!
October 21, 23, & 29-A Cute Ghost Painting at Spearfish Brewing - This class will start at 6 pm! This class will be led by Alexandra Hanson Art & Design as we gives you a step by step tutorial on how to paint a festive ghost for Halloween. There are limited spots, so make sure to reserve ahead of time!
October 22- Sip & Paint -Halloween Theme - A fun-filled Halloween-themed Sip and Paint Evening awaits at Crow Peak Brewery, 5–8:00pm. $40 Adults, $15 Children, with all supplies and snacks included.
October 24- Spooktacular Sensory Play Time - Celebrate a sensory Halloween Play Time at Whole Child Wellness starting at 10:00am. All ages are welcome to dress in costume and enjoy hands-on activities, crafts, and spooky-themed sensory experiences!
October 24, 25, 31 - 2025 Scare Maze - The 2025 Scare Maze is back October 24, 25, 31, and November 1. Admission is $15 per person, with the fright starting at dark. Guests must enter by 9:00 p.m. and exit by 10:00 p.m. Minors must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult.
October 25- Spooktacular Play Day - Join Jitter Joint for family-friendly Halloween fun! Enjoy a pumpkin decorating station, a scavenger hunt with prizes, and 20% off play passes for kids in costume. The event runs from 10 am -5:00pm.
October 25- Kids Halloween Carnival - The Spearfish VFW Post 5860 will be hosting a Kids Halloween Carnival on October 25, starting at 5 pm! There wil be fun games, candy and more activities for for the kids. There will be no charge to join this event!
October 26- Trunk or Treat at Methodist Church - Join this free Halloween event at Spearfish Methodist Church on October 26th from 6 pm to 9 pm. Dress up in your best costumes and enjoy fun games, face-painting, snacks, and plenty of candy!
October 28- Trivia Night- What We Do In The Shadows - Think you know Shadows? Join Trivia Night at 6:00pm at Spearfish Brewing! Form a team of 1–6, battle for bragging rights, and win a round on the house.
October 30- Spearfish Fire Department Haunted House - Dare to enter Station 2 for an evening filled with eerie surprises and haunting fun. The Spearfish Fire Department Haunted House invites you to explore its dark corners and enjoy a night of spooky excitement. Admission is free, with donations encouraged to benefit your local firefighters.
October 31- Annual Costume Contest - Dress to impress at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store’s Halloween Costume Contest! In-store photos will be shared on Facebook, and winners will be announced after October 31. Prizes include gift cards for Kids, Adults, Pets, and Group/Family costumes. The contest runs from 9-5:00pm.
October 31- Annual Spooktacular Sensory Play - This Whole Child Wellness will be hosting this party from 10 am to 11:30 am! This will be a fun-filled day where creatvitiy and exploration meet Halloween Spirit! The event is open to all ages, so the whole family is welcomed and encouraged to dress up in your Halloween costumes.
October 31- Treats On Main - Get ready for Treats on Main Street with Visit Spearfish and the Downtown Business Association! Trick-or-treat along the 600 block of Main Street from 3–5:00pm. Wear your favorite costume and visit local businesses for a fun-filled Halloween celebration!
October 31- The Copper Door & NHTC Trunk or Treat - Join the Northern Hills Training Center and The Copper Door for a festive Trunk or Treat! Bring the whole family from 4–6:00pm for costumes, candy, and Halloween fun in the parking lot.
October 31- Trick or Treat Trail - Head to the Edgewood in Spearfish for a night of trick or treating starting at 4 pm! Make sure to bring out your Halloween costumes and gather all the candy while it lasts!
October 31- Grand Halloween Bash - The Spearfish Canyon Healtchcare will be hosting the Grand Halloween Bash on October 31, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Dress up in your best costumes and head to the haunted corridors for a night of trick or treating!
October 31-Trunk or Treat at the Monument- Join this trunk or treat on Halloween night from 5:30 to 7 pm. Stop by the parking lot off of North Ave to collect all your treats and make sure to dress up in your halloween costumes to join the fun!
October 31- Buggy Bath Haunted Car Wash - Get your blood pumping at the Buggy Bath Car Wash for a haunting experience! This event will take place for one night only from 6 pm to 9 pm.
October 31- Killian's Halloween Party - Halloween is here! Show off your best homemade costume at Killian’s Halloween Party for a chance to win a season pass to Terry Peak, while Littering And… rocks the stage at 8:00pm.
October 31-Halloween at The Back Porch - Join the Halloween Party at The Back Porch on that Friday night! The party will begin with a dj bringing the tunes at 9:30 pm. Stick around for the announcement of the winner of the Halloween Costume contest at 12:30 am.
October 31- Fear Not Fall- Trunk or Treat - Countryside Church, 625 Woodland Dr, is the place to be for fall fun! Bring the family for Trunk or Treat and hot drinks—all free and open to the community.
October 31- Trick-Or-Treat - Stop by Peaceful Pines Senior Living at Spearfish (6800 St Onge Rd) from 6–7:00 PM for a festive indoor Halloween event. Residents will hand out candy and Halloween punch for kids and families to enjoy!
