The long-running Bellman Brown Bag series continues at the Matthews Opera House and Arts Center on Wednesday. October 12 at noon. Jeanie Kirkpatrick, director of Custer's 1881 Courthouse Museum will present "Women Workers at Mount Rushmore During the Carving Years." Yes. there were women workers at Mount Rushmore during the carving years, but what did they do? Kirkpatrick will examine the various duties women performed during this period. Bellman lectures take place monthly in the Matthews theater at noon and are free to the public.
