The Geek Speak lecture series is back at Black Hills State University! Please join us on Mondays at 4pm in Jonas 110 starting October 3 with Karl Lehman presenting, "Vincent Figchurch and the Ogre Walrus: Secrets Stolen from a World Champion Oral Storyteller." Next up, is Dr. Ryan Clark is presenting "You Don't Have Free Will (and why that's OK)" on October 17. Following that, will be Dr. Andrey Reznikov presenting "What is Language? A Linquist's Explanation of Human, Verbal Communication." To end the month, Laura Colmenero-Chilberg will be presenting on "Trick-or-Treating, Jack-o-laterns, and Feeding the Dead:How the Ancient Roots of Halloween Connect to Present Day." Geek Speaks are free and open to the public. Starting of November, Kelly Kirk, Dr, Courtney Huse Wika, and Professor Gina Gibson will be having the "Veterans Legacy Program Graphic Novel Academy Exhibit and Artist Q&A." For the second week, Professor Michael Baum will being presenting "The Art of the Printing Press with Demonstration." This Speak will be held in Woodburn 308. Dr. Thomas Weyany will be presenting, "We Wish You a Sixties Christmas: Politics and Culture in Sixties Christmas Specials."
