This trail is for hikers only as it is a steep uphill climb as it ascends to the rim of Spearfish Canyon in roughly three-quarters mile.

The trailhead can be found in Savoy, near Spearfish Canyon Lodge and the Roughlock Falls Trail. There are benches to rest or for photo opportunities if needed. The top of the rim gives you an all around view of Spearfish Canyon and Little Spearfish Canyon.
