Did you get a flat tire on a ride through Spearfish City Park? Are you looking for the right materials to complete that mixed media project you’ve been working on? Are you craving intellectual discussion and social examination? If so, makeSPACE is the place for you. makeSPACE representative Niklas Peters describes his venue as one part bike co-op, one part arts and crafts makespace, and one part community education center. In addition to hosting regular Author Talks and Artist workshops, makeSPACE offers consistent Bike Shop Hours and Open Art Hours for residents and tourists alike.
Bikes
Peters says makeSPACE offers riders the ability to “find tools they wouldn’t otherwise have access to, fix-up old bikes, scavenge parts from old bikes” and more during the venue's Bike Shop Hours.
