Holiday Kick-off Weekend
Spearfish’s biggest weekend in December is approaching fast and you’re invited to join the community for great shopping, family-fun events, and visits from Santa! Whether you tour the historic Booth House while sipping wine, or grab a bowl of free chili before watching the Holidazzle Light Parade, you’re sure to find festive fun in Spearfish!

Musical concerts and performances
The Northern Hills are alive with music! Enjoy the work of talented musicians throughout Spearfish including the Main Street Carolers and performances at the High Plains Western Heritage Center, Matthews Opera House, Black Hills State University, and more!

Snowmobiling, Fat Biking, Cross-country Skiing, Snowshoeing. The list goes on and on. Play in the snow when you visit Spearfish and remember to mark your calendars for December 15 as the trails open for snowmobile season with easy access to the Black Hills trail system of over 350-miles of groomed trails!
View Frozen Waterfalls
Want to enjoy this winter wonderland, but outdoor adventure sports not your cup of hot cocoa? Don’t sweat, because Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway is just as gorgeous in the winter as it is the rest of the year. Not to mention, the waterfalls during this season add a bit of frozen magic to their already majestic views.
