Who is ready to do some art together?! I am initiating the second Spearfish area adult art education pop-up art event, scheduled for Saturday, June 16th from 8:00 am - 11:00 am at the High Plains Western Heritage Museum in Spearfish. http://www.westernheritagecenter.com. We will be working outside of the museum, and this location is chosen because it has spectacular views of all points in the Queen City mountain crown: Spearfish Mountain, Crow Peak, and Lookout Mountain. There is also an amazing assortment of old machinery and homestead buildings. on site that provide intriguing subject matter. Thank you High Plains Western Heritage Museum for welcoming this event!!
Again, this is a totally free event and is designed for adults of all ages. You are welcome to leave a donation inside the museum if you wish to give back. All you need to bring is whatever art supplies you wish to work with, be it sketching, painting, photography, writing... wherever your particular creative interest lies. ALSO bring a folding chair and drinking water, water to paint with, and possibly a brimmed hat to provide you with some shade. If you need a small folding table or an easel, you need to provide your own as well.
A short watercolor demonstration will begin at 8:15 am and then an instructor will be available for whom ever may want it until 11:00 am.
